Our Owners
Charles and Winifred Miller have been members of the Hot Springs community for decades, as both downtown residents and business owners. In fact, Charles’ family moved to the area in 1814 and built a homestead on Miller Mountain, which is known for its large crystal vein. The Miller family have been involved with the crystal business for generations, with several mines and shops within the family history. Winifred grew up visiting family in Hot Springs, and fell so in love with the area that she relocated here in the 1990s.
A word from Charles: I love the history of Hot Springs, and how it retains the small town charm, while incorporating the influence of people from all over that come to visit. I’ve lived in places all over the world, and continue to travel, but I’ll always be drawn back to the hot springs, pristine nature, lake Oauchita, and the crystals that some consider to be the purest in the world!
A word from Winifred: I love Hot Springs! I’ve always felt connected to the history here because of my family. My great aunt and grandmother, who helped raise me, were nurses here in the 1920’s. They hiked the same trails I love to hike that surround downtown. Every time I stroll downtown, I’m reminded of the fantastic, storied past of this town. The springs, the crystals and the history become one experience when I am downtown!!
